Quiz Competition

NO REGISTRATION FEE

1. The competition is open for School students, college students, and university students.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Only TEAM ENTRIES are eligible, and team shall consist of TWO persons.
The decision of the Quiz-Master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True/False statement, Specific answer question etc.

PRELIMINARY ROUND:

Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 20 multiple choice type questions.
Time Limit- 15 minutes.
Only the Best 6 Teams would be selected for STAGE ROUNDS.
In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.
The selected teams shall have to appear for the final round.

STAGE ROUND/FINAL ROUND:

Round 1: QNA Round-
- The Best 6 Teams will be competing in this round.
- Each team would be asked a total of 5 Questions each.
- 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. 5 marks will be awarded if the question is answered after being PASSED to a different team.
- If a team cannot answer the question, then the question will be PASSED on to the next team.
- Answering time for each question will be 15 seconds. Each Question will be repeated only ONCE.
- By calculating the Total Marks, ONE Single Team will be eliminated and the other best teams will be continuing forward to the next round.

Round 2: Rapid Fire Round-
- In this round, Each team will be asked a total of 10 Questions, One after Another in a total of 2 Minute's Time.
- 10 Marks will be awarded for the correct answer and there will be NO negative marking.
- In this round, PASSING to the next team is not allowed. Anyhow kind of discussion with the other teams is not allowed.
- The Quiz-Master will not proceed to the next question unless the team provides an answer or clearly says 'NEXT' to pass the question.
- By calculating the Total Marks, ONE Single Team will be eliminated and the other Best Teams will be continuing forward to the Next Round.

Final Round: Buzzer Round-
- This will be the FINAL round, Questions will be asked to all the teams, and each team will be provided with a Buzzer. The team that presses the Buzzer first will get to answer first.
- 15 questions shall be asked to all the teams and 10 Marks will be awarded to the team that gives the correct answer.
- If the team who pressed the Buzzer first, gives a wrong answer or fails to answer within the time limit, the question will be PASSED to the team who pressed the Buzzer second.
- Answering time after pressing the Buzzer will be only 15 seconds.

Spell Bee Competition

NOTICE

The Competition is open for School students, college students, and university students.
There shall be three rounds and all the rules and regulations for the rounds shall be declared on spot.
The date, time and venue of the competition shall be informed later on.

Debate Competition

NO REGISTRATION FEE

1. The competition is open for school students, college and university students.

The topic for the Debate competition is:

➤ School students- Is Living in a City better than Living in a Village?

➤ College/University students- Freedom is an Illusion in Modern Society.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The team shall consist of two members.
Participants have to prepare both for against and for the topic and teams shall be decided on spot.
Each team shall have no constructive speeches and one rebuttal speeches.
Only 10 teams will be allowed in selection round (First come first serve).
Further rules and regulation will be given on spot.
Language: English.

Extempore

INSTRUCTIONS:

Topics will be given on the spot to the participants.
Participants will be given 5 minutes time to present their topic.

Essay Writing Competition

TIME LIMIT FOR THE COMPETITION: 1 Hour

The Topic for the Essay writing competition is:

➤ School students- Why should we Help Others?

College/University Students: The Pressure to Succeed in the Modern World.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS:

The competition is open for School students, university students.
The essay shall be within 1000 words.

TIME LIMIT FOR THE COMPETITION: 30 Minutes

The Topic for the poem writing competition is:

➤ School Students- A Quiet Evening at Home.

College/University students- Silence Has a Voice.

OTHER INSTRUCTONS:

The poem shall be of 16 lines.
The competition is open for school students, university students.
Languages: English, Bengali, Hindi.
The time, date, venue of the competitions will be notified later on.

The short story shall be within 700 words.
